Review: Liberty Village Rotisserie and Grill

A week after arriving back in the Canada, I found myself in Toronto for a conference. Since I had a super productive start to my week, I decided to reward myself with a day in downtown Toronto with a few friends. We met for lunch in Liberty Village and one friend suggested a place in Liberty Village at the corner of Jefferson and King St West (just east of King & Dufferin). She raved about their fish tacos and I just had to try them.

You can get 3 tacos for $7.50 or just one for $3, but man, they are so good you’d be silly to have only one. Moist chunks of fish, battered and deep-fried to a crispy golden brown, are nestled in a soft, lightly grilled taco shell and topped with a fresh and crunchy cabbage and carrot slaw. They’re lightly dressed with a creamy, slightly spicy sauce and come with a free container of hot sauce on the side. These tacos (and the friendly staff who serve them) are well worth streetcar out to Liberty Village. A month later, I’m still drooling over them and I can’t wait to come back.
